Scholarships ceremony

Last week twenty six international UniSA students attended a ceremony hosted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The ceremony was held to welcome new students coming to study in Australia under the Australia Awards and New Colombo Plan scholarship programs as well as farewelling students who have finished their degrees.

The University of South Australia's Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President for International and Advancement, Mr Nigel Relph, delivered a speech at the event where he spoke about the students' accomplishments. He also reflected upon their responsibility and commitment to share knowledge and learning with communities back home.

More than one hundred students from across South Australia attended the event at the Adelaide Convention Centre with their university representatives. The ceremony highlighted the importance of strengthening Australia's foreign aid policies with the Australia Awards and New Colombo plan scholarship programs.
