Have you used the University’s academic or social support services while studying?
The orientation program was phenomenal. Not only did we get to learn about UniSA, we also got to experience a little of the city and all the speakers were very informative about everything we needed to know as exchange students.
What do you enjoy most about studying at the University of South Australia?
South Australia is a beautiful state and Adelaide is a wonderful city. Studying at UniSA allowed me to explore both.

Through my home university, Oklahoma State
What was the application process like?
Very easy – most of it was completed online and then there were a few papers that needed to be faxed to the University

Very good, very open, very helpful
What were your first impressions of Adelaide and was it easy to settle in?
Adelaide is a beautiful city surrounded by the ocean and Adelaide Hills and it was very easy to settle in
Did you feel welcomed when you first arrived?
Absolutely
What was the biggest cultural or lifestyle change in coming to Adelaide and how did you adapt?
Australia is very similar to the USA but the biggest difference was the living expenses. It’s much more expensive to live in Australia than it is in the US, so that was an adjustment
Was it easy to make new friends and what was your experience?
Yes, everyone is very friendly
What aspects of the city appeal to you? (i.e. entertainment and culture, climate, diversity, the local environment, discounted public transport, etc.)
There is a lot to do in Adelaide- coming from a city of 40,000 Adelaide offered anything and everything and it was fun to experience that
