How do you think UniSA will help you succeed in your career?

"I find the UniSA+ program really useful in getting me ready for my career. It is a great opportunity to meet new people through leadership workshops, gain self-development and professional skills and also get acknowledged for all the volunteering hours we put in."

Tell us about the campus events you attended?

"One event that really stood out for me was the ActinSpace hackathon UniSA organised a few months ago. My interest in astronomy and space is one main reason why I chose to study mechatronics and through that hackathon, I was able to meet many like-minded people and work on some really cool space challenges. Of course, presenting our idea in front of a former NASA astronaut was the highlight of it all!"

Learning from experience is an important part of the study experience at UniSA. Have you undertaken any practical experiences during your studies?

"I went on a volunteering trip to Taiwan last December for 6 weeks. I had to teach junior high school students English. It was a great experience overall as I got to make so many new friends, learn about new cultures and their languages. I was able to fund my trip using USASA's leadership grant and I am really grateful for that!"
