Why did you choose to study at the University of South Australia (UniSA)?
"I chose to come here because UniSA has one of the best Business Schools worldwide – no question about it. They have the QS five-star ranking and they are also in the top one percent worldwide. I knew that coming here would give me the best quality education that I need."
What has your experience studying at UniSA been like so far?
"My experience studying at UniSA has been great. I got to experience new opportunities that I wouldn’t have thought I’d be able to do. For example, I was able to take on an internship during my winter break, I did a research placement, I joined clubs and societies, and I was also a mentor.
All these things enhanced my experience as a student at UniSA. I would say that UniSA gave me endless opportunities to develop myself as a student and as a future graduate."
Congratulations on winning the Merdeka Award. What does this mean to your family, and to you as a Malaysian?
"Before I came to Adelaide, my parents were very worried as this was my first time going overseas and studying in a different culture and environment. Receiving this award has proven to them that I’ve made good use of this opportunity. And I’m really happy that I was able to make them proud this way.
As a Malaysian, I was very honoured to win. I think this is a great platform for me to further promote Malaysia in South Australia. "
What are your three most favourite things about Adelaide?
"I love trying out new local cafes which have a really good brunch and have their own specialty coffee. That’s something that I really enjoy doing during the weekend.
Second would be going to the beach, trying out new hiking trails because I love the scenery in Adelaide and it’s really relaxing – that’s something that I enjoy doing during my long breaks.
Third is Mad March where Adelaide is full of festivals and fairs, and the whole Adelaide vibe is very different. These are the three things I like about Adelaide."
