Free for eligible students, Global Citizen is an exciting new program which combines a virtual international experience with an online cultural intelligence module. It’s a great way to enhance your resume, connect with like-minded peers, gain credit towards your degree and develop new global networks.

UniSA Student Association (USASA)
Shape your own university journey
UniSA Student Association (USASA) is a not for profit, student-run organisation that exists to support the student body at UniSA. Services USASA provides include the student board, advocacy, financial counselling, clubs and societies, social events, grants, UniSA merchandise and Verse magazine. All USASA services and support are free and available to all UniSA students. They aim to make your time at the university as fun and stress-free as possible.

UniSA Sport
Get involved with UniSA Sport
UniSA Sport is the gateway to all sport and recreation at the University of South Australia. UniSA Sport manages the indoor sport, fitness and aquatic facilities on each metropolitan campus including courts, gyms, indoor pool and group fitness classes. UniSA Sport also oversees 28 affiliated and endorsed clubs. From social to state league, football to ultimate frisbee, UniSA Sport has a club for you.

The University operates a number of clinics that are open to the general public, providing professional and cost-effective services (in some cases free) in the areas of health, law, marketing, and psychology. Services are delivered by students supervised by highly qualified and experienced health professionals. We also offer services led by qualified and registered professionals.

Access and Inclusion
Minimising barriers and maximising success
If you have a disability, mental health or chronic medical condition, or are the primary caregiver for someone who does, we encourage you to have a confidential chat with one of our Access and Inclusion Advisors about the free support and services that are available to our students. We can tailor an Access Plan to meet your individual circumstances and provide access to specialised services such as Auslan interpreting, transcriptions, assistive software, equipment, rest spaces and exam arrangements.
Counselling Services
Feel connected while at university
UniSA’s Counselling Service offers free and confidential short-term counselling to students studying onshore in Australia – including specialised International Student Advisers. Counsellors are located across all metropolitan campuses with appointments available in person, by phone or online. Counsellors assist students with a wide range of issues including:
- assisting with personal issues affecting your studies
- adjusting to change (new culture, university, city, academic expectations)
- managing stress, anxiety and depression
- learning about motivation, time management and exam stress
- offering support following a crisis or trauma
- dealing with sexual assault or sexual harassment
- managing a personal or family crisis
Counsellors also offer personal wellbeing workshops on campus and provide a range of online self-help resources.
Settling into Adelaide

Adelaide is welcoming and multicultural and makes an ideal home away from home. It has all the advantages of big city life yet is small enough to get around easily. The University offers a range of activities designed to help international students feel at home, including the G’Day Mates program. New international students can enjoy opportunities to practise English, learn about Aussie culture, make new friends, connect with the Adelaide business community and more.
