Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) principal nomination for UniSA aviation
Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) principal nomination for UniSA aviation
The University of South Australia (UniSA) has partnered with the Hong Kong DSS Schools Council to offer fast-track entry to its aviation degrees in 2025.
DSS students can use their predicted results to obtain an unconditional offer from UniSA, enabling them to commence their studies in July 2025 (instead of waiting until February 2026).
The flying fast-track requires students to submit various application and nomination elements. These include predicted results that are slightly above the normal entry requirement for aviation at UniSA, English proficiency documents, and endorsement letters from both their school principal and aviation training organisation, Aerosim:
The student receives their predicted results. At this stage, it is recommended that they discuss their nomination with their DSS school principal.
The DSS school principal provides the full name of the nominated student(s), via email to Jackson: jackson.jaensch@unisa.edu.au
The student submits their application, preferably through a registered UniSA Education Agent.
UniSA will request predicted results and endorsement letters, which the student can submit through their education agent. The agent will then handle the remaining application and acceptance process.
Successful applicants will begin their studies at UniSA in July 2025.
Take a look at the UniSA Aviation brochure for details on both the Pilot and Management streams offered in our aviation degree.
Aerosim is an aviation technology company based in Hong Kong. It works closely with the DSS school network to run flight simulator training programs, and with UniSA on school outreach collaborations targeted at aspiring aviators in Hong Kong.
