    SA drivers licence View details at www.sa.gov.au to make sure that you are driving legally and safely. Not compulsory but recommended  Students are advised that a current South Australian driver's license may be required by some field practice agencies and a driver's license is considered an advantage for field practice opportunities.
    Textbooks up to $150 per book - in total up to $1800 Optional  While textbooks are strongly recommended they are not compulsory.
    Some textbooks can be borrowed from the library or purchase a copy through the university or another supplier.
    Travel/accommodation for country or interstate placements Costs will vary greatly depending on personal situation and placement location Optional  While placement is compulsory placement locations will vary across your program, only a small number of interstate placements will be available and the majority, and possibly all, of your placements will need to be in South Australia.

    Immunisation requirements for placement Catch up vaccination costs:
    MMR — measles, mumps - $35.00 per dose
    Hepatitis B - $80.00 per dose
    Varicella (chicken pox) - $80.00 per dose
    Hepatitis B — approximately $20.00 per dose
    Poliomyelitis (polio) — approximately $39.99 per dose
    Tetanus/whooping cough/diphtheria — approximately $45.00 per dose
    Tuberculosis - Student Health Care Workers must complete the online Tuberculosis screening questionnaire
    (http://www.pages.on.net/questionnaire.php) and be given clearance from SA Tuberculosis Service prior to clinical placement in any SA Health facility.
    Compulsory  Prior to the commencement of placement (2nd year) evidence of immunity to specific vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) is required.
    Immunisations costs will vary subject to individual requirements. 
    The University requires proof of your immunisation status through the completion of the Student Health Care Worker Immunisation Screening Questionnaire and Certificate of Compliance, found in the UniSA Immunisation Requirements for Placement package. 
    Influenza Vaccination between $12-25 Compulsory  Students must have an influenza immunisation every year whilst undertaking field placements.
