"Being honest, I chose UniSA because I liked the name 'UniSA". Then I went through the website & found the fees were affordable. Then I discovered that the subjects offered at MMSK were interesting. "I Particularly enjoy the content of the subjects offered. Secondly, I enjoy tutorials where I get
connected and socialise with local students as well as international students. Thirdly, I enjoy
the way classes run, its always interactive. We not only listen to the lectures but we always get to interact with each others, be it with colleagues or tutors."

Learning from experience is an important part of the study experience at UniSA. Have you undertaken any practical experiences during your studies?

"Yes, At this moment I am doing my first placement at UniSA. I have been participating in different seminars where I build up the social networks, share my ideas & views. Further, I learn more everyday when I get an opportunity to give a presentation in front of my colleagues and teachers. I see huge changes in my communication skills and way I present myself in front of mass, especially in a language which is not my first language."

How would you describe the quality of teaching staff? How have they supported you during your studies?

"Few of them speak very fast, where I find difficulty in understanding, as English is not my first language. However, every teaching staff are very supportive, they are always ready to answer to any sort of study based questions. Once, when I failed my assignment I received tremendous support from one of the teaching staff, which really matters, especially for International student like me. A lot of teaching staffs encouraged me in my first few weeks where I was less confident in speaking in front of class."

What did you think of the campus facilities? Did you have a favourite spot on campus?

"Hmm!! The entire environment is so green and enriched with natural beauty So, I don't have particular spot. However, I feel relaxed to lay on the grass right under the trees and read the books during the breaks. Its absolutely clean and feels so fresh. Also, there are lots of tables and desk outside the class rooms in grounds, which is an extra facility for us to get socialise with multi cultural students and discuss something other than study."

Have you used UniSA’s academic or social support services? What was your experience?

"Once I have met learning advisor and She is truly amazing person who thoroughly helped me on assignments. She assisted me on reference guidelines and encouraged me at that time where I was hopeless after being fail in one of the assignments. Then after, I have always achieved a good score in the assignments."

Why did you choose Adelaide and what was your first impression? What do you like most about Adelaide?

"Adelaide has always been my first choice because its a regional area. I love to stay in a peaceful place, with less crowd. I am never fond of extra large shopping malls and buildings because I get every facilities here. Good study and good job. Adelaide is amazingly beautiful place to live in and study because its a quite city. And on top of all, people are extremely helpful, cheery and kind."

What advice would you give to a student considering coming to Adelaide and studying at UniSA?

"Most of the people hold a misconception about Adelaide. Particularly about job opportunities. It is obvious to take suggestions from people who are already here in Adelaide but every person has a story. Some may have positive experience while others may have negative. So, it is better to listen to everyone but decide on your own. Many people suggested me to apply for bigger cities like Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, I took suggestions but decided on my own and today I feel I made a right decision by choosing this place and UniSA."

How do you think UniSA will help you succeed in your career?

"I believe, UniSA will not only provide me a graduation certificate but It will make me a capable person, skill full person to work as a social worker one day. Because the education offered here is more about practical education. Teachers give lectures and allow us to use it practically right after the lectures. So, it is helpful to utilize the learning things in a practical way after every lectures."
