Interested in Construction Management?

Benefit from over 30 years’ experience in construction management education, with our curriculum informed by research and developed in close consultation with our long-standing industry connections.

You will learn contemporary theory, practice and technology in modern, city-based teaching spaces, including building information modelling and immersive virtual reality.

Commence or advance your career in the growing construction industry with UniSA’s undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in construction management. You will learn from highly experienced industry professionals and enjoy flexible study options, including face-to-face at our City East campus, online, or a combination of both.

The construction industry is a complex and highly organised commercial industry, constantly evolving in the digital era with the accelerating pace of digital transformation, emerging technologies and an increasing emphasis on sustainability – including green and smart building practices. To meet these needs head-on, the industry demands a highly skilled, innovative and adaptable labour force – a need UniSA has been delivering on for more than 30 years.

UniSA’s Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) will prepare you to take on leadership and managerial roles. A higher level qualification, the honours program ensures you graduate with a competitive edge, offering options to further specialise should you wish to pursue a career in quantity or building surveying. You will enjoy significant opportunities to apply your skills, completing at least 450 hours of industry experience through the UniSA STEM Professional Practice Program. You may also wish to consider the fast-track to master program where you will complete the Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) and Master of Management in five years instead of the typical six.

The Bachelor of Construction Management will see you graduate ready to embark on a career in the development of residential, commercial and high-rise buildings. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in real-world settings, and with appropriate progress in your degree, can choose to enter directly into the fourth year of the Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) should you wish to complete the higher level qualification.

You may also be interested in our Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Construction Management) – an accredited civil engineering degree with a focus on the construction industry.

Current industry professionals seeking to advance their career and move into building surveying may be interested in the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying.

Fully online undergraduate options are available through UniSA Online.

What others are saying

I was interested in a career within construction that was hands-on, yet still included a focus on management, so this degree was the perfect blend. My studies have taken me overseas to South Korea where I was lucky enough to experience different dynamics and cultural practices within the construction industry. I’ve also secured part-time employment as an estimator and look forward to a career in the commercial sector when I graduate.
