Why did you choose to study at the University of South Australia (UniSA)?

"UniSA provides some of the most popular courses in Australia and is known for its graduate quality. As my primary and secondary choices were Architecture and Interior Architecture, and UniSA is the only university in Adelaide that provides these courses with high graduate quality, it made my choice very clear.

Many of my high school friends who graduated a year or two ahead of me, chose UniSA as the institute where they would participate in their chosen degrees and when my time arrived for choosing an institute for higher education, they recommended I apply at UniSA."

What are the benefits of UniSA and their teaching staff?

"In my field of study in particular, I quite enjoyed the space provided to study and practice. The staff are friendly and provide students with sufficient help in their studies.

My course takes place at City West Campus, located on Hindley Street and North Terrace. I quite like the campus, it has all the facilities which my course requires and that makes it really convenient to attend course requirements. UniSA services are great. Every time I visited Campus Central in regards to a query, they pointed me in the right direction, and being an international student, it made it a lot easier."

What are your impressions of Adelaide?

"Adelaide seems rather small however, despite being a small city, it is rather quiet and very convenient to get around and it takes less than 10 minutes to travel to the surrounding suburbs. Also, the locals are very polite and friendly. It has some of the most beautiful hills with fantastic scenery, lovely food and wine, a really great place for peaceful and quiet life style, in particular a student lifestyle.

Basically shortly after I began studying here I found myself truly settled in and in no time I'd managed to meet a lot of locals and internationals from other countries. As time went pass my social network grew larger and I became more attracted to the city. As rumours say, 1 in 10 people from Adelaide would have a mutual friend."

What is your advice to others?

"Don't hold back from exploring the multi-cultural aspects. Make friends and expand your social network as you can then refer your questions or problems to friends and ask for their support. And most importantly use all resources provided to you, they will make solving your problems much easier."
